Jenny Olson is an integral member of our litigation team. Jenny litigates a wide variety of personal injury cases including automobile crashes, motorcycle crashes, premises liability claims, dram shop claims, wrongful death claims, medical and dental malpractice claims, dog bites, and other personal injury claims. Jenny is thankful she is able to passionately pursue justice for her clients at a law firm that supports advocacy and creativity.
Jenny’s primary focus is on litigating personal injury claims when insurance companies refuse to fairly compensate injured people. An example of Jenny’s recent work is a case where her client had the tip of his finger cut off in a log splitter accident. The insurance company offered only $20,000.00. Jenny knew this wasn’t fair compensation and took the case to a jury trial. Jenny received a jury verdict in Anoka County in excess of $100,000.00. Jenny understands that when insurance companies refuse to be fair, sometimes they have to be held accountable through our jury system. Jenny also enjoys legal research and crafting creative legal arguments through motion practice to achieve the best outcome possible for her clients.
Jenny’s expertise in legal research and writing adds value to every case she works on. An example of her work is Schmidt v. Oaks, in which she successfully defended a favorable verdict at the Court of Appeals in the amount of $2,410,084.67. Jenny also recently had a major victory at the Minnesota Court of Appeals in which the court held that the Metropolitan Council is responsible for paying no-fault benefits for injured bus passengers in State Farm Ins. co. et al. v. Metropolitan Council. Jenny is also a member of the Minnesota Association for Justice’s Amicus Committee, which writes amicus briefs to the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court on issues important to people who have been injured as a result of another’s negligence.
